Driving School Leiden takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy explains, in plain English, which data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.
1. Who we are
Driving School Leiden, established at Jan Luykenlaan 51, 2332 DA Leiden, Netherlands, is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

2. What we collect
- First and last name, date of birth
- Address, postal code and city
- Phone number and email address
- BSN, only for CBR registration
- Lesson progress and scheduling information
- Billing details (invoice information, not full bank data)
- Anything you tell us via the contact form or WhatsApp
3. Purpose and legal basis
- Delivering driving lessons, theory courses and exam registration, performance of contract.
- Registering students with the CBR, legal obligation.
- Invoicing and bookkeeping, legal obligation.
- Communication about your training, schedule and exam, legitimate interest and contract performance.
- Service improvement, legitimate interest.
4. Retention
We keep student files for a maximum of two years after the end of training. Invoices and accounting records are kept for seven years to comply with Dutch tax retention rules.
5. Sharing with third parties
We only share data with parties strictly necessary for our service: the CBR, our accountant and our planning software. Data processing agreements are in place. We never sell your data.
6. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, encrypted connections, limited access, regular backups.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and request data portability. Send your request to info@drivingschoolleiden.com. We respond within four weeks. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
8. Changes
This policy can be updated periodically. The most recent version is always on this page.
